Welcome to the Community Capacity for Prevention & Education (CCPE) site!
What is CCPE, you ask? We are a federally funded grant for Monroe County designed for HIV and substance abuse prevention and education. We provide FREE HIV testing for Monroe county residents between the ages of 13-24, and we are also implementing an evidence based practice that focuses on protective factors – CTR and Say It Straight . We also offer THRIVE, a program that includes trainings for our target population on important skills such as: positive peer support, team building, etc.
Although our grant is focused on HIV and substance abuse, our blog is here to help make Monroe County a healthier place. We talk about everything from exercise and fitness tips, relationships, positive communication and combating the stresses of everyday life.
If you are a resident of Monroe County between the ages of 13-24 and are interested in FREE HIV testing, see the Contact page for more details.
