Monroe County Resources

Monroe County holds a myriad of opportunities, resources, assistance and support for those who need it. If this is you, please feel free to contact any of these resources at any time. If you have a need but don’t see a resource listed for it, please contact us and let us know!  We are a community, and we are all here for each other. So don’t be shy, take full advantage of these organizations and what they can do to help you live the healthiest life possible!

Youth Organizations

Girls Inc: Provides after school programs, sports programs, full/half day programs and summer camps. Contact: 812-336-7313, 1108 W 8th St, Bloomington, IN 47404

Boys and Girls Club: We provide camps and programs during after school hours, holiday breaks and summer time. The cost for attendance is $20 per year. Contact: 812-332-5311, 311 S Lincoln St, Bloomington, IN 47401 (also in Ellettsville and Crestmont)

Rhino’s: The mission of Rhino’s is to provide entertainment and engagement for the youth of the Bloomington community in a safe environment, free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Contact: 812-333-3430, 331 S Walnut St, Bloomington, IN 47401

The Warehouse: A non-profit, Christian based community center including rockwall climbing, a gym, boxing, skate park, basketball, volleyball, small groups, etc. Contact: 812-333-3951, 1525 S Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47403

Prism GLBT Group for Youth: Prism is an inclusive social group for youth celebrating all sexual orientations and gender identities and gender expressions. All youth between the ages of 12 and 20 are welcome to join us. Weekly meetings are free, as are our special events, and many field trips.
